I love Chanel nail polishes and once in a while when the brand launches new collection I cannot resist. Also Chanel has never done anything extraordinary in terms of nail polish textures; there is at least one color every season that stands out from the nail polish “crowd”.
I was looking for an elegant coral nail polish for almost a year now. When you have more than 300 polishes you become very picky about the slightest differences in the color. I couldn’t find what I wanted: some of the polishes were too bright, so, on contrary, too pale.
Chanel Distraction from the Roses Ultimes Collection is exactly what I wanted – not too pink or red and not too orange. It’s a delicate coral shade with pink shimmer that is almost not visible on the nails. I used 2 coats. The only downside in this polish for me is the brush. It’s too narrow. Overall, I didn’t have problems with the application.

OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know?
Hi Ladies,
Here’s another OPI from Holland collection for you. I already reviewed I Don’t Give a Rotterdam! here.
Wooden Show Like to Know? is on the classy side. It’s a taupe crème with tiny pink glitter particles for the shimmery effect. I like the color, but I have several polishes of this kind. I thought pink shimmer would be a little bit more obvious. I wasn’t able to see it in direct sunlight.

OPI Nicki MInaj Metallic 4 Life
Metallic 4 Life is the only nail polish I wanted from Nicki Minaj Collection. I just had to have it. It has this special Deborah Lippmann vibe to it, although it is not a dupe to any of her gorgeous creations.
Metallic 4 Life has a black jelly base with tons of silver glitter that varies in sizes and shapes.

China Glaze Prismatic Part 2 - Ray-diant and Prism
Hey Ladies,
On Friday I posted the swatches of Liquid Crystal from Prismatic collection. You can find swatches here.
So far, Liquid Crystal is the one that I liked the most, in terms of the color and duochrome effect.
Ray-diant and Prism are also interesting, but the base is silver, so it creates a less interesting effect.
Ray-diant is the silver-grey glitter with larger glitters of different colors. It really doesn’t show the chrome effect too much. The polish is mostly silver in artificial light and light metallic green in the daylight.
Prism is the silver-purple glitter. It also has multiple larger glitters of gold, silver, pink, green and blue colors. All of the polishes from Prismatic collection have the same large glitter particles; the base is the only thing that differs. I generally like everything lilac and purple, so I had to pick it up as well.
Overall, I can’t say that I was disappointed with the Prismatic collection, but I just wasn’t very excited or impressed either. The polishes are very nice, but the texture and finish do not differ greatly from the Eye Candy Collection to me. I didn’t see WOW duochrome effect that I wanted to see. It’s nice to have couple of the polishes, but I wouldn’t recommend buying the whole collection.

China Glaze Prismatic Collection Part 1 – Liquid Crystal
Prismatic is the one of the spring collections I was very excited about. The nail polishes are described as Chroma Glitters. Being a huge fan of everything with glitter and duochrome, I simply couldn’t resist (I wish CG would add a little bit of holo effect too..lol).
I ordered Liquid Crystal, Ray-diant and Prism. I liked other ones as well, but I will see swatches of other girls and then decide if I need anything else from Prismatic Collection or not.
Today’s post is about Liquid Crystal. It’s very hard to describe this nail polish concisely:) It consists of very small duochrome glitter base that changes the color from metallic blue to purple. Liquid Crystal also has a lot of medium sized glitter of various colors – silver, pink, gold, green, etc. This abundance of glitter creates a very vibrant and sparkly effect.
The formula and application is very smooth.I wasn’t impressed with Liquid Crystal when I applied it in the evening. All the uniqueness and beauty of this collection really shows in the sun when duochrome effect shows up.
Sorry, for my horrible cuticles guys. They’ve been in a poor condition lately.
Hope you enjoyed watching the pictures:)
