Priti NYC Lambstail Cactus and Black Holo Comparison

Lambstail Cactus is a brown-black linear holographic nail polish. It looks brown indoors and almost black under natural sunlight. It has lots of gold shimmer that makes it different from the other dark holographic nail polishes on the market.

I thought it would be useful to compare Lambstail Cactus with some of the similar nail polishes I already have:

-  OPI My Private Jet,
- Color Club Revvvolution,
- Golden Rose 118.

As you can see on the photos below, Priti NYC Lambstail Cactus is a pretty good dupe for My Private Jet. The only difference is that My Private Jet has multi-colored Holographic effect and Lambstail Cactus is on the warmer golden side. Revvvolution and GR118 are definitely blacker. But on the other hand, comparison in the direct sunlight doesn’t show that much difference between these four nail polishes.

Holographic Patchwork Manicure

Hi ladies,
Holo Patchwork mani is my attempt to see how well holographic nail polishes mix together.
I used:
- A-England – Tristam
- Color Club Revvvolution
- Color Club Worth the Risqué
- Color Club Wild At Heart

I like the way it turned out. What do you think?

Tiger Manicure

Just a quick post.

I  wanted something bright for the weekend. Days are getting colder and darker, so I thought orange will be perfect

I used Color Club from Poptastic collection as a base and Revlon Copper Penny for Stamping.
Reminds me of Tigger from Vinnie-The-Pooh..hehe.

Drip Mani with Color Club Pucci-licious and CG Gamer Glam

I have been into nail art lately and as I’m not so proficient in it as other girls, I’m choosing the easiest ones:)

drip manicure with color club pucci-licious and china glaze gamer glam

Drip manicure is very easy to make. All you need is 2 or more nail polishes and nail art brush. First, I painted the nails with Pucci-licious. Such a gorgeous shade of purple. I noticed that Color Club Poptastic collection has a very specific polish formula – it’s more on the rubberized side.

I then used Matte Essie top coat to get rid of the shine.

Although matte Pucci-licious mani already looked pretty awesome it was a little too much for work, so I added China Glaze Gamer Glam holographic to create a drip mani.

Stripe Manicure

Made this mani before the weekend and still have it on.

Funny, that I got a lot of compliments on it from compete strangers. I really like it, because it’s bright, but I don’t think it’s something complicated or special.

I used Color Club Chelsea Girl; Twiggy and Baby Blue by POP for stripes.

Pink Wednesday Mani: Color Club Pink Lust

Hello Everyone,

This is my first Pink Wednesday manicure.  I love “Mean Girls” movie, so I thought why not to participate.
For this mani I used Color Club Pink Lust …from Poptastic collection with OPI DS Design.

Pink Lust is a gorgeous neon pink that I doubt I would normally wear…except of Pink Wednesday.

China Glaze Metro Collection Fall 2011. Part 2 –Midtown Magic swatches and comparison with Color Club With Abandon

When I saw Midtown Magic I completely fell in love with it…but Opps, after bringing it home I realized that I had something similar already. It turned out that With Abandon (you can see full post about it here) by Color Club is almost 100% similar to Midtown Magic nail polish.

But swatches first…. MM is a brown-black shade with golden and copper shimmer particles. I have a thing for dark nail polishes with a little shimmer…and this one is just that perfect piece of shiny dark chocolate. Metro Collection polishes have a little thinner formula, so most of them, including Midtown Magic require 3 coats for full opacity.

After discovering that I already have similar nail polish I decided to compare how similar are they? It turns out that it’s very hard to see the difference between Midtown Magic and With Abandon in artificial light or direct sunlight. The only difference I could notice is that CC With Abandon has only golden shimmer particles and China Glaze one has also some copper particles that make nail polish a little bit more colorful. Again …it is almost unnoticeable if you will not stare at your nails for 5 minutes.

Color Club With Abandon Swatches and Review

Hey Girls!
My weekend was quite hectic, so I decided not to do special many for the 4th of July.  I just received CC with Abandon, so I tried it onJ

I don’t know why for a long time I thought that CC is not a good quality nail polish…it was an absolute “fail” for me, because right now I’m totally in love with the colors and quality.

CC With Abandon is a black-brown polish with small golden particles. It is absolutely gorgeous.

Color Club Wild At Heart Swatches and Review

Hi everyone!

I’m surprised that Color Club doesn’t have many holographic nail polishes. All of their holos I owe are completely amazing in everything: coverage, application, durability and, of course, color and effects.

Currently I have Worth the risqué, Revvvolution and Wild at heart, and I’m completely in love with them all. I have couple of OPI DS polishes as well, but Color Club ones are much more interesting and wearable.
I’m trying to find other holos from CC, so if someone knows other amazing shades, please, let me knowJ

So, back to the topic…Wild At Heart is a completely gorgeous rich purple holo with red, blue, purple and green shimmer particles.  See for yourselfJ

Color Club Revvvolution review and swatches. Black holographic nail polish comparison.

Color Club Revvvolution – amazing black holo nail polish. I love it from application to special holo finish.  Only one coat is needed for full opacity and the effect is super shiny and sparkly.

This color is something that OPI failed to include in their holographic DS Series collection. I have My Private Jet as well, but application and finish is so different from Color Club.

I have 3 black holographic polishes so far: Golden Rose-118, OPI My Private Jet (brownish black) and CC Revvvolution.

I decided to make a comparison is they are different or not. It turns out to be…Yes.

color club revvvolution, OPI my private jet and golden rose comparison

My Private Jet  is definitely more brown than black. I applied 3 coats to get what you see on the pics.

CC Revvvolution – is charcoal black and has more blue sparkles. It’s also more shiny than the others.

Golden Rose 118- is somewhere in the middle, It’s a true black without any grey undertones.
Under artificial light it’s almost impossible to see the difference between Color Club and Golden Rose, but in natural light – Color Club is much more sparkly than the latter.
