Today’s post is about Strawberry by Hungry Asian. The idea is so simple, yet the implementation is fantastic. The vibrant bold red color and black small glitter create quite a realistic effect.
Strawberry's formula is very easy to apply, and the nail polish dries in seconds. I used 2 coats and Butter London top coat for a little extra shine. The polish is very thin and a little runny, but I had no problems with application at all. I actually liked that it is very airy and lightweight.
I ordered my Hungry Asian Polishes through her Etsy store, but you can also check out her blog for more information (here).
Isn't it? Hungry Asian recommends to add a green leaf or smth similar to create a real strawberry effect, but it think it works perfectly even without it.
I love looking at the polishes on her etsy shop. Strawberry is sold out, but she has a tutorial article about making a Strawberry-like polish here: http://artglitter.com/NailsByKae.html
I was lucky to get a mini bottle, but I'm thinking of getting the bigger one too. She re-stocks fast, so keep an eye:) The tutorial is great, Thanks. I will definitely follow it to experiment with another colored bases.
This looks gorgeous! So aptly named!
